I have done some aerial photos while on commercial airline flights however when the conditions are conducive to photographing landscapes. I personally detest drones due to the disturbance factor and have never flown one.
Given the height at which many of these photos are made, some can also be classified as abstract landscapes. Aerial & Drone Photography: This type of photography is made from airplanes, helicopters and drones.Abstract landscapes can be truly defined as fine art. I find this type of artwork to be very rewarding creatively and satisfying to make. Abstract Landscape Photography: This is arguably the most difficult sub-genre to visualize as most nature landscapes are a “found subject” as opposed to “created subject”.Trees are favorite subject of mine as I find them conducive to telling a visual story or metaphor. Intimate Landscape: The opposite of grand scenic landscapes, intimate landscapes generally focuses on “scenes within a scenes” such as forest scenes, rocks, colors and water patterns.This is the type of landscape photography that I’m personally most passionate about. This genre actively tries to avoid including manmade elements within the scene. Scenic Nature Landscapes: Similar to iconic landscapes but the key difference is that these are not necessarily from well-known locations.The style is characterized by its use of wide angle lenses and highly-saturated colors.
These landscapes are the most well-known scenes by the general public and heavily commercialized. This genre is generally made on popular roadside pullouts though not always.
